Greg Porter has over thirty years experience in a variety of senior business and information technology management roles. Greg has worked in a range of industries (electricity utility, mining, technology, education, financial services) and types of organisations (government, international corporations, university).
He has conducted many contract assignments including small and medium sized businesses, international consumer product companies, not for profit organizations, and Federal and State Government departments.
Greg’s passion is the successful and effective adoption of technology through the close integration of IT, business planning and decision making. He has used this process to assist in the redesign of businesses through a combination of process design and new IT systems and infrastructure. This approach provides a current and future capability for organizations and makes them more competitive and sustainable into the future.
Greg understands the dependency that organizations have on IT in today’s environment. He has worked with organizations to ensure systems and processes are secure, robust and available and that backup processes are in place for the moments when unexpected disruption occurs.
His interpersonal skills and understanding of organizational dynamics enable him to provide leadership to all levels of staff.
He holds postgraduate degrees in Electrical Engineering and Financial Management.
