David Mitchell’s career in Information Technology (IT) began in 1970 and he has occupied senior IT management roles since 1980.
David recognized very early the potential for changing organizations with the judicious use of appropriate technologies. He also recognized the necessity for an educated (and supported) senior management for reaping the benefits of IT-lead organizational change. He has worked closely with a number of CEOs to specify, create and implement systems and infrastructure to modernize organizational operations and effectiveness.
In the last thirty years he has developed a number of organizational IT plans, negotiated their passage through company boards and successfully executed their implementation.
David has therefore managed the development, implementation and operation of diverse major infrastructure and systems such as an East Coast microwave network including a significant voice-over-IP installation for a new university, electricity billing, cadastral mapping and customer relationship management amongst many others.
David is committed to the development of sound information technology practices in business to ensure that the costs are managed and the benefits are delivered. David has a degree in Information Technology and a Masters in Business Administration.
